Yadkin Valley Wildlife Federation Announces 2025-26 Fun Trial Season

Get ready for another exciting season of sporting dog Fun Trials with the Yadkin Valley Wildlife Federation! It’s the perfect chance to enjoy the great outdoors, test your dog’s skills, and hone your shooting expertise.

The Schedule:

  • November 15, 2025: Quail Haven Hunting Preserve
  • December 13, 2025: Quail Haven
  • January 17, 2025: Rim Rock Preserve
  • February 7, 2025: Quail Haven
  • March 21, 2025: Rim Rock Preserve

How to Join the Fun:

  • Registration: Opens up to two weeks before each event and closes at 9 PM on the Wednesday night prior to the trial.
  • Entry Fee: $70 per dog. Handlers can enter a maximum of two dogs. If you have more, reach out to Sammy Mickel, and they’ll see if extra entries can be worked in.
  • What’s Included: Your entry covers two runs for the day and a delicious lunch.

Important Notes:

  • Spectators Welcome: Family and friends are invited! Please give advance notice if they plan to have lunch with us (it’s just $5 per person).
  • Dogs in Heat: Will be scheduled to run at the end of the day.
  • Dog of the Year Awards: To be eligible, you must be a current member of the Yadkin Valley Wildlife Federation.
  • Rules: A copy of the general rules can be obtained by contacting Sammy Mickel before or during registration.
